Hermina C. Rosen, nee Hilmes, 83, of St. Rose, died Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at Caring First Nursing Home in Breese

She was born August 20, 1920 in Breese to William and Catherine (Deiters) Hilmes; they preceded her in death

She married Alvin Rosen on July 12, 1939 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese; he preceded her in death on June 5, 1984

Also preceded in death by a son, Daniel Rosen and a sister Edna Carryer

Surviving are sons Bob (Ruth) Rosen of Breese, Tom (Phyllis) Rosen of Bartelso, Jim (Virginia) Rosen of St. Rose, Carl (Carleen) Rosen of St. Rose, Gary (Fiancé Jennifer Weiss) Rosen of St. Rose

Also Surviving are daughters Mary Jane (Rich) Baum of Joliet, Ruth (Rich) Schumacher of St. Rose, Marilyn (Friend John Bowen) Toennies of Breese, Rita (Elmer) Montgomery of Ft. Polk, LA, Kay (Friend Philip Thole) Rosen of Breese

25 Grandchildren and 21 Great-Grandchildren

Also Surviving are sisters Dorothy Novak of Winfield, MO, Florence (Harry) Reiter of Festus, MO, Marge (Dave) Ashmann of Collinsville, Rosie Conver of Breese, and Katie (Roger) Ritzheimer of Breese

Hermina was a homemaker

She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and Altar Sodality, Daughters of Isabella Precious Blood Circle 718, Breese American Legion Post 252 Auxiliary and Gold Star Mother, St. Rose Development Club, Republican Party Precinct Committeeperson, St. Rose Golden Age Club, and Breese Senior Citizens

Funeral Mass of Resurrection will be Saturday, January 10, 2004 at 10:00 AM at St. Rose Catholic Church in St. Rose with Fr. Edward Schaefer officiating. Interment will follow at St. Rose Cemetery

Visitation will be Friday, January 9, 2004 from 4 to 9 PM and again on Saturday, January 10, 2004 from 8 to 9:30 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese

Daughters of Isabella will pray the rosary at 7:00 PM and Breese American Legion Auxiliary will hold services at 7:30 PM both Friday Night at the funeral home

Memorials can be made to St. Rose Church and will be received at the funeral home
