William P. “Bill” Becker 57 of Centralia and formerly of Bartelso died Wednesday Sept. 15 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO

 He was born March 17, 1947 in Breese to Henry and Cecilia (Jansen) Becker: they preceded him in death

 Also preceded in death by a brother Robert Thien

 He married Mary Greene-Vaughan January 11, 2003 at St. Clair Church in O’Fallon and she survives in Centralia

 Also surviving is a daughter Melissa (Bernie) Poelker of Beckemeyer 

A son Troy Becker of Beckemeyer and special friend Lisa Frerker of Breese

 Step Children Bridget (Rick) George of Safety Harbor, FL, Brian (Jenni) Vaughan of Skokie, Matthew (Susan) Vaughan of Grafton, Mass.

 6 step grandchildren

 Brothers; Raymond Becker of Bartelso, Albert (Mary Ann) Becker of Germantown, Herman Becker of Bartelso, Donald “Diesel” Becker of Bartelso, Richard “Dick” (Pat) Becker of Bartelso

 Bill was retired from Scott Air Force Base Transportation Division. An Army Veteran of the Vietnam War

 Member of Bartelso American Legion Post 976, Catholic War Veterans 1780 and Bartelso Knights of Columbus 4745

 Funeral Mass will be held on Monday September 20, 2004 at 10:30 am at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Bartelso with Fr. Henry Fischer officiating. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO

 Visitation will be held on Sunday September 19 from 4 to 9 PM and on Monday September 20 from 8 to 10 AM at the Moss Funeral home in Germantown
