William G. “Bill” Beckmann 85 of Bartelso died Thursday March 16, 2006 at the Carlyle Health Are Center in Carlyle 

He was born October 29, 1920 in Beckemeyer to George and Lucy (Meyer) Beckmann: they preceded him in death 

He married Frances Kleinkorte April 24, 1946 at St. Cecilia Church in Bartelso and she preceded him in death June 15, 1958  

Also preceded in death by a brother Frank Beckmann, brother-in-law Vincent Hemker, sister-in-law Mary Kleinkorte 

Surviving are his 11 children Jane (Louis) Hemker of Bartelso, Jerry (Jeanne) Beckmann of Thurmont, Maryland, Barb (Louis) Varel of Bartelso, Kenneth (Connie) Beckmann of Bartelso, Marilyn (Don) Timmermann of Bartelso,  Diane (Dennis) Hempen of Carlyle, Ron (Ellen) Beckmann of Bartelso, Carol (Bernie) Hustedde of Carlyle, Allan (Nancy) Beckmann of Germantown, Irma (Gary) Kohrmann of Germantown, Nancy (Duane) Engle of Morganton  NC 

37 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild 

A brother Alvin Beckmann of Bartelso 

Sisters Eleanor (Tony) Lengermann of Highland, Rita Hemker of Bartelso, Alice (John) Wellen of Highland, Dorothy (Alphonse) Pollmann of Carlyle, Lou (Wendy) Loepker of Breese 

Sister-in-law Christine Beckmann of Germantown 

Bill was a retired farmer 

Member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Bartels Knights of Columbus and past grand knight, Bartelso American Legion , Clinton County Farm Bureau 

Funeral mass will be held on Monday March 20, 2006 at 11:00 AM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Bartelso with Fr. Henry Fischer officiating Interment St. Cecilia Cemetery 

Visitation will be on Sunday March 19 from 4 to 9 PM and on Monday March 20 from 8 am to 10:30 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown 

Memorials can be made to St. Cecilia Church, Mater Dei High School, Carlyle Health Are Center or Donor’s  Choice and will be received at the funeral home
