Dolly M. Burris, 70, of Breese, died Monday, April 14, 2008 at her residence. 

She was born April 30, 1937 in New Madrid County, MO to Willis Earl and Ida Mae (Stanfield) Jackson; they preceded her in death. 

She married Delbert D. Burris on August 29, 1959 in Shawneetown, IL; he preceded her in death on June 28, 2003. 

Also preceded in death by sisters, Maude Linley, Cally Robinson, Sally Mitchell, and Janice Nicolaides, and brothers-in-law, Calvin Day, Jack Gilreath, and Dick Linley. 

Surviving is a daughter Deb (John) Hollenkamp and a son John (friend Diane Schlau) Burris all of Centralia. 

2 Grandsons, Greg (Niki) Shadegg of Breese and Austin Burris of Troy. 

Brothers, Welton (Dana) Jackson of East Prairie, MO, Rev. William “Sonny” (Joyce) Jackson of Harold, IL, and Gary (Connie) Jackson of Harold, IL. 

Sisters, Imogene Day of Sikeston, MO, Reva (Denny) Bargetzi of Highland, and Ida Gilreath of Highland. 

A sister-in-law, Margaret Dagley of Carmi. 

Her special Friend and Caretaker, Cindy Hostmeyer of Breese. 

Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and cousins. 

Dolly was a homemaker and formerly worked in production at Arrow Group Industries in Breese. 

Dolly was of the Protestant Faith and was a member of the Centralia VFW Auxiliary Post 2055. 

Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese with Rev. William “Sonny” Jackson officiating.  Interment will follow in Ellwood Cemetery, Breese. 

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 16, 2008 from 4:00-8:00 PM ad again on Thursday, April 17, 2008 from 9:00-11:00 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese. 

Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, American Diabetes Association, or to the Donor’s Choice and will be received at the funeral home.
