Genevieve P. “Genny” Egan 90 of New Minden died Wednesday February 15, 2006 at her daughter’s residence in Germantown 

She was born Dec. 16, 1915 in East St. Louis, IL to Adolph and Victoria (Sarencka) Sasak: they preceded her in death 

She married Henry “Rollie” Egan September 26, 1939 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in East St. Louis, IL and he preceded her in death May 27, 1982 

Also preceded in death by a son-in-law Gregory Taylor, father and mother-in-law David and Rosemary (Beecher) Egan, brothers, Victor, William “Bill”, Joe Sasak, a sister Stephanie Boyle, brothers and sisters-in-law Edward and Peggy Egan, Jim and Ruth Neil, Richard and Ellen “Nellie” Daschke, Louis and Isabella Pasterski, Timothy Mancinas, Don Boyle 

Surviving are daughters Rosemary (Jim) Wegener of Kimberling, MO, Linda Taylor of Germantown 

3 grandchildren Lacey Wegener, Nick Taylor and Terra Taylor 

A brother Ted (Marietta) Sasak of Belleville 

A sister Dorothy (Steve) Wegrzyn of Washington Park 

A sister in–law Cecelia Mancinas of Millstadt, Maria Sasak of Fairview Heights, Joleve Sasak of Belleville.

Numerous nieces and nephews 

Genny was a meat cutter at Armour Packing House in East St. Louis  

Past member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in East St. Louis 

Funeral mass will be held on Monday February 20, 2006 at 11 am at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown with Fr. Henry Fischer officiating. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery in Fairview Heights 

Visitation will be held on Sunday Feb.19 from 4 to 9 PM and Monday February 20 from 8 to 10:45 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown 

Memorials can be made to VNA-Tip Hospice and will be received at the funeral home
