Robert T. Gaines 85 of Trenton died Saturday November 25, 2006 at St. Joseph Hospital in Highland 

He was born October 19, 1921 in Vandalia, IL to Rueben and Ethel (Melvin) Gaines: they preceded him in death 

Also preceded in death by brothers Rueben Gaines and Charles “Chick” Gaines and a sister Helen Rodenberg 

He married Camille Bohnak-Heil on May 18, 1973 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Belleville and she survives in Trenton 

Also surviving is a son Mike (Jane) Heil of Trenton and his other children Margaret, Emmy and Mark 

A granddaughter Kathy Heil 

Brothers Homer Gaines of St. Louis, MO, Jim Gaines of Troy 

Sisters Margie Warner of Troy and Betty Shepard of Troy 

Robert was retired from AT&T where he was a repairman and dispatcher 

He attended St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton with his wife and a member of Communication Workers of America 

Visitation will be held on Monday November 27 from 4 to 8 Pm at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton 

Private funeral service and Interment on Tuesday November 28 at Gilead Cemetery near Centralia 

Memorials can be made to St. Mary Church and will be received at the funeral home
