Edward J. Gramann, 80, of Germantown, died Saturday, July 2, 2005 at his residence.

 He was born June 6, 1925 in Bartelso to August and Mary (Loepker) Gramann; they preceded him in death

 Also preceded in death by a brother Bernard Gramann and a son-in-law Raymond Albu 

He married Lucille Haake on August 16, 19 49 at St. Boniface Church in Germantown; she survives in Germantown

 Also surviving are daughters, Karen Albu and Colette (Norman) Strieker, both of Germantown

 Sons Steve (friend Sheila Schoenherr) Gramann and Ron (Christine) Gramann both of Breese

 9 Grandchildren-Kara (Bob) Holtgrave, Andrea Albu, Todd Albu, Jamie (fiancé Dan Beer) Gramann, Matt Gramann, Cary (Kent) Markus, Ryan (Sarah) Strieker, Anne Strieker, Spencer Gramann 

4 Great-Grandchildren-Madison and Wesley Holtgrave, Blake and Ashlynn Markus

 A sister Mary Frances (Bernard “Smiley”) Haake of Germantown 

Edward retired from Scott Air Force Base as a Communications Supervisor 

He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and Men’s Sodality, Past Commander of the Germantown American Legion Post 325, Breese Knights of Columbus Council 2869, Mater Dei Fathers and Friends where he served as Treasurer for 40 years, Co-Founder of Germantown Community Development, Past President Germantown School Board where he served 20 years, and was a US Navy Veteran where he served on the U.S.S. Lewis

 Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at 10 AM at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown with Fr. Stephen Humphrey officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery.

 Visitation will be Tuesday, July 5, 2005 from 4-9 PM and again on Wednesday July 6, 2005 from 8-9:45 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown. 

Memorials can be made to St. Boniface Church and will be received at the funeral home

 Germantown American Legion will hold services at 7 PM and Breese Knights of Columbus will pray the rosary at 7:30 PM both Tuesday evening at the funeral home
