Elizabeth E. “Betty” Huelskamp, nee Johnson, 83, of Breese, died Sunday, May 11, 2008 at Caring First Nursing Home in Breese. 

She was born May 22, 1924 in Damiansville, to John and Ann (Schuette) Johnson; they preceded her in death. 

She married Alexander “Alex” Huelskamp on May 2, 1945; he preceded her in death on June 18, 1999. 

Also preceded in death by sons, Robert and Donald Huelskamp, a grandson, Jason Huelskamp, a great-grandson, Alex Baker, brothers, John and Martin Johnson, and sisters, Dora Eilering, Lena Athmer, and Martha Elling. 

Surviving are her children Mary Lou (Ed) Hansen of Highland, Kenneth (Dora) Huelskamp of Bear, Delaware, Jack (Diane) Huelskamp of Breese, Ronald (Jenny) Huelskamp of Mesa, AZ, Daniel (Sue) Huelskamp of Marine City, MI, Allen “Butch” Huelskamp of Breese, and Bonnie (Kevin) Tune of Breese. 

26 Grandchildren, 45, great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren. 

Daughter-in-law, Ruby Huelskamp of Lebanon, MO. 

A brother, George Johnson of Carlyle, and a sister, Dorothy Toeben of New Baden. 

Sisters-in-law, Sr. David Huelskamp, PHJC and Sr. Lorine Huelskamp, PHJC of Donaldson, IN. 

Dear and special friend, Vic Schaeffer of Breese. 

Betty was a homemaker, and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. 

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Chuck Tuttle and Deacon Bob Lippert officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese. 

Visitation will be Thursday, May 15, 2008 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Friday, May 16, 2008 from 9:00-10:45 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese. 

Memorials can be made to the Donor’s Choice and will be received at the funeral home.
