Marcel “Marty” G. Kampwerth, 74, of Trenton died Sunday May 14, 2006 at Highland Health care Center. 

He was born June 11, 1931 in Bartelso to Henry and Rose (Rohr) Kampwerth, they preceded him in death. 

He retired from Kuhn Lumber Company and was a member of St. Mary Church Trenton, Trenton VFW Post 7983 and a veteran of the U.S. Army. 

He married Christine Stroka May 13, 1961 at St. Mary Church Trenton and she survives in Trenton. 

Also surviving are a son Daniel (Cindy) Kampwerth of Swansea, daughters Carolyn (Jeff) Bair of New Baden, Suzan (Bill) Brown of Trenton and Dian (Ty) Gansmann of St. Jacob. 

10 grandchildren 

3 brothers David (Mary) Kampwerth of Bartelso, Simon (Barbara) Kampwerth of Carlyle and Andrew Kampwerth of Bartelso. 

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Henry Kampwerth, Jr. and his wife Johanna and Richard Kampwerth. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 17 2006 at 10 AM at St. Mary Church with Fr. James Dougherty officiating, interment in St. Mary Cemetery. 

Friends may call at the Moss Funeral Home Trenton Tuesday from 4 to 9 Pm and Wednesday from 8 to 9:45 AM. 

Memorials can be made to donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home. 

Trenton VFW services will be held Tuesday at 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
