James A. “Jim” Liening, Sr., 61, of Jamestown, died Friday, January 27, 2006 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese. 

Mr. Liening was born May 28, 1944 in Breese to August and Norma (Shomaker) Liening; they preceded him in death. 

Also preceded in death by a brother, Tom Liening. 

He married Charlotte Stevenson on April 21, 1964 in Highland; she survives in Jamestown. 

Also surviving is a son, James (Samantha) Liening, Jr., and a daughter, Cynthia (Mark) Clark both  of Jamestown. 

4 Grandchildren- Sydney and Clayton Liening, Nathan and Kayla Clark. 

A brother, David (Georgina) Liening of La Mesa, CA. 

Jim retired as the manager of the St. Rose Water District, farming, and the Beckemeyer Smelter. 

He was a member of Breese American Legion Post 252 and the Clinton County Farm Bureau. 

Funeral Services will be Monday, January 30, 2006 at 10:00 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese with Fr. Patrick Peter officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Rose Cemetery. 

Visitation will be Sunday, January 29, 2006 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Monday, January 30, 2006 from 8:00-10:00 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese. 

Breese American Legion will hold services at 7:00 PM Sunday Evening at the funeral home. 

Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association and will be received at the funeral home
