Clifford L. Meddows, Sr., 88, of
Trenton, died Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at his residence.
Mr. Meddows was born October 21,
1919 in O’Fallon, IL to Newman and Elizabeth (Ellison) Meddows; they
preceded him in death.
He married Lois Hastings on May 11,
1947 at 1st United
Methodist Church in Trenton;
she preceded him in death on November 14, 2007.
Also preceded in death by brothers,
Leavern Meddows, Donald Meddows, Kenward “Sparky” Meddows, Gilbert
Meddows., and a sister, Jane Saville.
Surviving is a son Clifford L.
(Judy) Meddows, Jr. of Fairview Heights and a daughter, Betty
(Keith) Dunlap of Trenton.
5 Grandchildren-Brandy (Matthew)
Miller, Shaun (Steve) Thomas, James R.L. Hopkins, Roberto Vinluan,
and Raquel (David) Smith.
3 Great-Grandchildren-Seth Jansen,
Claire Thomas, and Zella Vinluan.
A sister, Sarah “Sally” (Leland
“Skip”) Louden of Trenton
Clifford retired as a Laborer from
Local 100-Belleville, IL and was a veteran of WWII
