Estelle T. Rathmann, 95, of
Breese and formerly of New Baden died Friday April 20, 2001 at
Carlyle Health Care Center in Carlyle
She was born May 18, 1905 in Damiansville, IL to John and Anna (Schrempp)
Billhartz: they preceded her in death
She married George Rathmann August 12 1937 in St. Louis MO and he
preceded her in death September 3, 1976
Also preceded in death by a daughter George Ellen Rathmann,
brothers Elmer and John Billhartz, sisters Irene Golick, Martha and
Mathilda Billhartz, son in law Leander "Ben" Moss
She is survived by a Daughter Bernice Moss of Breese
Sons George (Louise) Rathmann of Belleville, John (Letty)
Rathmann of Breese, Jim (Gail) Rathmann of Chandler AZ
15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 2 great great
grandchildren
Estelle was a homemaker and former co-owner of Rathmann’s Park
in New Baden
Member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and Altar Sodality in
Breese
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday April 24 at 11:00 AM at
St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese. Fr. Leo Reinhardt
officiating. Interment in St. Dominic-St. Augustine Cemetery
Visitation will be held on Monday April 23 from 4 to 9 PM and on
Tuesday April 24 form 8 to 10:45 AM at the Moss Funeral home in
Breese
Memorials can be made to the donor choice and will be received at
the funeral home
