Raymond W. “Ray” Richter 86 of Breese died Wednesday September 29, 2004 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis

 He was born March 25, 1918 in Breese to Kasper and Rose (Heimann) Richter: they preceded him in death

 He married Aloisia A. Brdelak July 23, 1947 at St. Augustine Church in Breese and she preceded him in death April 30, 2004

 Also preceded in death by brothers Norbert and Richard Richter, Sister Estelle Kueneke, brother-in-law Jack Vahlkamp, sisters-in-law Flora Richter and Dorothy Richter

 Surviving is a son Raymond “Butch” (Connie) Richter of Breese

 Daughters Mary Lou (Roger) Keech of St. Louis, Arlene Richter of Bradenton FL, M. Susie (Don) Foppe of Breese, Carolyn (Hermann) Eisele of St. Louis, Denise (Chuck) Hart of St. Louis

 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandson

 Brothers Casper (Dorothy) Richter of Breese, R. Joseph (Barb) Richter of Breese

 Sisters Lorraine (Gene) Niemeyer of Breese, Jane Vahlkamp of Breese

 Brother-in-law Art Kueneke of Breese

 Ray was retired Electrical Superintendent of Scott Air Force Base. An Army veteran of WWII, serving with the 103rd infantry cactus division, Veteran of the Battle of the Bulge

 Member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and Men’s Sodality, Breese American Legion Post 252 and past commander, 40/8, Breese Historical Society, Concordia Saengerchor, past Alderman for the city of Breese,  past board member of the Clinton County Board, East/West Gateway Coordinating Council

 Funeral Mass Saturday October 2, 2004 at 1:00 PM at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Chuck Tuttle officiating Interment St. Dominic – St. Augustine Cemetery 

Visitation will be held on Friday Oct. 1, 2004 from 4 to 9 Pm and Saturday Oct. 2 from 8 to 12:45 PM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese

 Breese American Legion will hold services at 7:30 PM Friday at the funeral home

 Memorials can be made to Mater Dei High School or All Saints Academy and will be received at the funeral home
