Waneta Y. Schwierjohn, 87, of Germantown died Monday, November 3, 2003 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese

She was born May 14, 1916 in Tamalco, IL to Henry and Cleo (Cole) Diekmann; they preceded her in death

She married Alphonse Schwierjohn on July 2, 1938 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Carlyle; he preceded her in death

On September 23, 1989

Also Preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Isaak

Surviving is a son Dan (Jan) Schwierjohn of Germantown

Daughters Janet Schwierjohn of Germantown, Donna (Leonard) Chimino of Wadsworth, and Sandy (Jerome) Bonvie of Breese

Grandchildren Kristen and Brian Chimino, Heather (Matt) Bruening, Allison (Friend Jim Worrel) Bonvie, Scott Bonvie, and Tim (Friend Jennifer Duke) Schwierjohn

A great-grandson Jack Bruening

A Brother Frank (Annabel) Dieckmann of Keyesport

Waneta was a homemaker

Member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and Altar Sodality in Germantown, American Legion Post 325 of Germantown Auxiliary and past president, Germantown Senior Citizens and past president, Mater Dei Mothers and Friends Club and past president

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday November 6, 2003 at 11:00 am at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown with Fr. Stephen Humphrey officiating Interment St. Boniface Cemetery

Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 5 from 4 to 9 PM and on Thursday November 6 from 8 to 10:45 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown

American Legion Auxiliary will hold services at 7 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home

Memorials can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or Mater Dei High School and will be received at the funeral home
