Ralph A. Seger 94 of Trenton died Sunday March 18, 2007 at Highland health Care Center in Highland 

He was born November 20, 1912 in St. Jacob Twp. Madison CO., IL to Henry and Amelia (Kuhn) Seger; they preceded him in death 

Also preceded in death by sons Jerome Seger, Larry Seger, brothers Adolph Seger and LeRoy Seger, sisters Helen Henss, Melva Witt, Mildred Zitzman, Celeste Niemeyer, Christine Bellm, son-in-law Charles H. Wood grandson Charles K. Wood, grandson-in-law Terry Miller 

He married Norma Bellm September 3, 1938 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland and she survives in Trenton 

Also surviving is a daughter Jolene (Frank) Bray of Jacksonville FL 

Grandchildren Barbara (John) Moore of Waterloo, Patrice (Mark) Singletary of Plant City, FL, Jacklyn (Richard) Ray of Myrtle Beach SC 

A granddaughter-in-law Lori Wood of Jacksonville, FL 

8 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren 

Mr. Seger was born and raised on the family farm southeast of St. Jacob, continued farming and operating a grain and livestock farm until his retirement in 1978. In the 1960’s he worked for the Illinois department of Highways, in the 1970’s he worked for the Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville. After his retirement he and his wife retired to Trenton, and where frequent travelers. 

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Men’s Sodality and Men’s Choir, Trenton Knights of Columbus Council 2932, Trenton Senior Citizens, a former President and Trustee of the St. Jacob Fire Protection District, Madison County Farm Bureau 

Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday March 22, 2007 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton with Fr. James Dougherty officiating Interment St. Mary Cemetery 

Visitation ill be held on Wednesday March 21 from 4 to 8 PM and on Thursday March 22 from 8 to 9:45 AM at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton 

Trenton Knights of Columbus will hold services on Wednesday at 7:30 PM at the funeral home 

Memorials can be made to the Donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home
