Loretta G. Sprehe, nee Kassen, 83, of Germantown, died Saturday, February 4, 2006 at Caring First Nursing Home in Breese. 

Mrs. Sprehe was born October 4, 1922 in Albers to Herman and Gertrude (Rademacher) Kassen; they preceded her in death. 

Also preceded in death by a grandson, Samuel Sprehe, brothers, Robert Kassen and Vincent Kassen, and a brother-in-law, Bernard Langenhorst. 

She married Joseph Sprehe on May 5, 1943 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers; he survives in Germantown. 

Also surviving are her children, Jessie (Tom) Markus of Aviston, Pat Sprehe of Germantown, Dave (Rita) Sprehe of Carlyle, and Jim (Jackie) Sprehe of Germantown. 

10 Grandchildren-Kelly (Gina) Markus, Jody (Vince) Albers, Ryan (Tammy) Markus, Nicole (Cory) Gebke, Jenny (Rollie) Kampwerth, Kristen (Brian) Stock, Jonathan Sprehe, Nathan Sprehe, Julianna Sprehe, and Jessica Sprehe. 

12 Great-Grandchildren. 

A sister, Leona Langenhorst of Bartelso. 

Sisters-in-law, Josephine Singler of New Baden and Alice Woltering of Aviston. 

Loretta retired as a cook and dishwasher from Wil-Char Restaurant in Breese and was a homemaker. 

She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at 11:00 AM at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown with Fr. Stephen Humphrey officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery, Germantown. 

Visitation will be Monday, February 6, 2006 from 4:00 to 9:00 PM and again on Tuesday, February 7, 2006 from 8:00 to 10:45 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown.  

Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Heart Association and will be received at the funeral home.
