Joseph W. “Joe” Therion, 67, of Trenton, died Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on December 24, 2008. 

Mr. Therion was born August 11, 1941 in Flint, MI to Willard E. and Laura (Jones) Therion; they preceded him in death along with his step-mother, Jean (Hueberger) Therion. 

Also preceded in death by brothers, Michael and Patrick Therion.  

He married Ann Webb on April 27, 1963 at St. Mary Church in Trenton; she survives in Trenton. 

In addition to his wife he is survived by  his sons, Brett (Kecia) Therion of Trenton, Joseph “Bart” Therion of Trenton, Brian Therion of Okawville, Brent (friend Deb VonHatten) Therion of Trenton, and Brant (Pam) Therion of Okawville; grandchildren, Stephanie (Frank) Renth, Shane Therion, Brittany Therion, Tyler Therion, Samantha Therion,  Brandon Therion, and Adam Rakers; mother-in-law, Merle C. Pillers of Macon, MO; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Layla (Doug) Strong of Kansas City, MO, Carl Pillers of Macon, MO, Russell (Patty) Pillers of Bevier, MO. 

Joe was a retired United Steel Worker at Granite City Steel and was a United States Navy Veteran.  

 He was a member of SOAR-Steelworker of Americal Retired, Steel Workers Union Local 1899, and was an avid Cardinal Fan, Dirt Track Racing Fan, and local sports fan. 

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton with Rev. Thomas Rankin officiating.  Interment will follow in Trenton Cemetery. 

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 17, 2009 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 from 8:00-10:00 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton. 

Memorials can be made to the Trenton City Baseball league and will be received at the funeral home.
