Viola J. Korte, nee Albers, 87, of Germantown, died Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Carlyle Health Care Center in Carlyle 

She was born August 17, 1922 in Germantown to Henry and Cecilia (Usselmann) Albers: they preceded her in death 

She married Edward Korte April 19, 1944 at St. Cecilia Church in Bartelso and he preceded her in death March 29, 1985 

Also preceded in death by brothers, Norbert Albers and Eugene Albers; a sister, Leona Voss; brother-in-law,

Al Voss; sisters-in-law, Lucille Albers and Margie Albers; and sons-in-law, Carl Maue and John Stockwell. 

Surviving are her children Fran (Bob) Wellinghoff of Carlyle, Carol Stockwell of Ellcott City, MD, Ron (finance Linda Schaaf) Korte of East Dundee, Arlene (Phil) Devlin of Long Beach, CA, Jerry (Lana) Korte of Smithton, Phil Korte of Grover Beach, CA 

8 grandchildren, Christine (Doug) Huegen, Craig (Sue) Maue, Clint (Lea) Maue, Jennifer (Mike) Doucleff, Michelle (Jacque) Laccia, William Korte, Jason Korte, and Jonathon Korte and 8 great grandchildren 

Brothers, Henry “Jitter” (Mary) Albers of Damiansville, Richard Albers of Bartelso 

A Sister, Dolores (Bob) Von Bokel of Aviston 

A Sister-in-law, Marie Albers of Breese 

Viola was a homemaker and member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and Altar Sodality in Germantown and Cecilia Catholic Church in Bartelso.  She enjoyed quilting, dancing, bingo, traveling, and spending time with her family.  

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday November 17, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown with Fr. James Buerster and Fr. Henry Fischer officiating. Interment St. Boniface Cemetery, Germantown 

Visitation will be Monday, November 16 from 4 to 8 PM and Tuesday, November 17 from 8 to 10:45 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown 

Memorials can be made to Heartland Hospice or Mater Dei High School and will be received at the funeral home.
