Elcie J. McCaw, nee Weisbrod, 70, of Summerfield, died Saturday, November 7, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville

She was born April 6, 1939 in Summerfield to the late Earl Weisbrod and Vergie (Zwiener) Weisbrod, her mother survives in O'Fallon

She married Carter McCaw in Belleville and he preceded her in death on December 24, 1999. 

In addition to her husband she was also preceded in death a sister, Carol Koesterer; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Charles and Louise McCaw; a sister-in-law, Louise Spencer; brothers-in-law, LeRoy Wagner, Cletus Koesterer, Edward McCaw, and Ivan Reed. 

Surviving are her children, David (Shirley) McCaw of Fairview Heights, Karen (Kurt) Wehrle of Lebanon, Sherri (friend Pete Moraru) McCaw of Summerfield, Donna McCaw of Summerfield, and Nancy (Brad) Eltrich of Belleville; 4 Grandchildren, Kristi Carson, Tyler (Kristin) McCaw, Kelsey (Jake) Baer, and Kaitlyn McCaw; 3 Great-Grandchildren, Jackie Carson, Carter Carson, and Noah Baer; sisters, Nancy (Tom) McCaw of O’Fallon, Patsy (Clarence) Hagene of St. Augustine, FL, Sandra Wagner of Wildwood, MO, and Linda Noltkamper of Belleville; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Reed of Modesto, CA and Suzanne (Allen) Hongsermeier of Camarillo, CA; and many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends. 

Elcie worked at Jim’s Formal Wear in Trenton as a Coat Inspector and was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Summerfield. 

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. John United Church of in Summerfield with Rev. Gary Kniepkamp officiating.  Interment will follow in Summerfield Cemetery. 

Visitation will be Monday, November 9, 2009 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton and again on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 from 9:00-10:00 AM at St. John United Church of Christ in Summerfield. 

Memorials can be made to St. John United Church of Christ and will be received at the funeral home or the church.
