Thomas V. “Tom” Rosen, 53, of Bartelso, died Thursday, October 1, 2009 at his residence. 

He was born March 16, 1956 in Breese to Alvin and Hermina (Hilmes) Rosen; they preceded him in death. 

Also preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Rosen; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul “Pebbles” and Dorothy (Meyer) Robke; a brother-in-law, Ray Toennies; and a niece, Tammy Baum-Aleshire. 

He married Phyllis Robke on October 11, 1974 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown; she survives in Bartelso. 

Also surviving are his daughters, Renee (Jeff) Kehrer of Aviston and Jill (John) Garcia of Bartelso; 3 Grandchildren, Ean and Owen Kehrer and Baby Garcia; brothers, Bob (Ruth) Rosen of Breese, Jim (Virginia) Rosen of St. Rose, Carl (Carleen) Rosen of St. Rose, and Gary (friend Tara Schroeder) Rosen of St. Rose; sisters, Mary Jane (Rich) Baum of Joliet, Ruth (Rich) Schumacher of St. Rose, Marilyn (friend John Bowen) Toennies of Breese, Rita (Elmer) Montgomery of Fort Polk, LA, and Kay (Philip) Thole of St. Rose; a sister-in-law, Paula Braddish of Shiloh; a brother-in-law, Wayne “Butch” (Brenda) Robke of Knoxville; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Tom was an operating engineer at Warren G. Murray Center in Centralia.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. 

He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Bartelso. 

Family and friends will gather for a Memorial Mass on Monday, October 5, 2009 at 2:00 PM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Bartelso with Fr. Henry Fischer officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Bartelso. 

Visitation will be Sunday, October 4, 2009 from 4:00-9:00 PM at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown. 

Memorials can be made to VNA TIP Hospice and will be received at the funeral home.
