Jim W. Spihlman, 75, of Trenton, died Monday, December 28, 2009 at St. Joseph Hospital, Breese. 

He was born March 8, 1934 in Trenton to Sylvester and Catherine (Albers) Spihlman:  they preceded him in death. 

Also preceded in death by a brother, Paul Spihlman 

He married Shirley Meier, February 23, 1957 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Carlyle.  She survives in Trenton. 

Surviving is a son Jeff (Tracy) Spihlman of Woodriver, IL and a daughter Cynthia (friend Erick Sanders) Roth of Kell, IL 

4 grandchildren Jessica (Dennis) Moss, and Rachel, Nichole, and Heather Roth 

9 great-grandchildren

Jim Was retired from Union Pacific Railroad as a Scheduler.  Was a United States Army Veteran.

Member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Trenton Jaycees 

Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton with Fr. Gene Kreher officiating. Interment St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Trenton 

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 30, 2009 from 4 to 8 PM, Thursday, December 31, 2009 from
8 to 9:45 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton
