Viola M. Trame, nee Kapp, 92, of Breese, died Friday, December 04, 2009 at the Breese Nursing Home. 

She was born June 15, 1917 in Breese to Otto and Mary (Kruep) Kapp; they preceded her in death. 

She married Alphonse Trame on June 27, 1944 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese; he preceded her in death on June 23, 1985. 

Also preceded in death by a brother, Harold Kapp; sisters, Leona Ratermann, Irene Gebke, Mary Ann Ripperda, and Eleanor Renschen; brothers-in-law, August Ratermann, Ray Ratermann, Arnold Gebke, Joe Huelsmann, and Eddie Wiegmann; and sisters-in-law, Jo Kapp, Leona Wiegmann, and Helen Horstmann. 

Surviving are her sons, Robert (Diane) Trame of Chesterfield and Richard (Elizabeth) Trame of Canton, Michigan; 3 Grandchildren, Catherine Galanti, Robert Trame, Jr., and Kristin Trame; 2 Great-Grandchildren, Anthony and Michael Galanti; a brother, Richard (Nettie) Kapp of Fairview Heights, sisters, Evelyn Ratermann of Breese and Clara (Jerome) Korte of Collinsville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Paul Ripperda of Aviston, Cornie Renschen of Breese, Agnes Huelsmann of New Baden, Henry (Lucille) Trame of Beckemeyer, Edwin (Loretta) Trame of Breese, and Clarence “Clem” Horstmann of Beckemeyer; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

Viola worked as a clerk for over 50 years at Schmidts Store in Breese and was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and Altar Sodality. 

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, December 7, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Patrick Peter officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Dominic~St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese. 

Visitation will be Sunday, December 6, 2009 from 3:00-8:00 PM and again on Monday, December 7, 2009 from 9:00-10:45 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese. 

Memorials can be made to St. Dominic Church or to Mater Dei High School and will be received at the funeral home.
