    Jim W. Tebbe, age 69, of St. Rose, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at home surrounded by his family.

     

    He was born September 6, 1950 in Highland, a son of the late Walter and Gladys, nee Knebel, Tebbe.

     

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Tebbe; brothers-in-law, Kevin Alberternst and Doug Willis; nephew, Jeremy Tebbe; and special friend, Marie Dasenbrock.

     

    Surviving are his children, Brian (Tara) Tebbe of Jamestown, Nicole (Jeremy) Gebke of Patoka, and Chad (Kammi) Tebbe of Aviston; grandchildren, Kaylei Tebbe, Jordan, Makayla, and Alyssa Gebke, and Lane Tebbe; siblings, Joe (Jan) Tebbe, Rich (Chyrsa) Tebbe, Kathy (Ken) Jansen, Carolyn Alberternst, and Joan Willis all of St. Rose; sister-in-law, Norma Tebbe of Italy, TX; nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Scott) Schrage, Shannon (Brad) Buhmann, Adam (Angie) Tebbe, Brooke Tebbe, Ryan (Kelly) Tebbe, Jessica (Daniel) Price, Kristina (Wes) Jordon, Kimberly (Brad) Phillips, Kyle (Tricia) Jansen, Kendra Jansen, Sean (friend Kari Dorries) Alberternst, Josh (Katie) Alberternst, Kayla (Aaron) Buskirk, Jacob Willis, Lauren (Nathan) Vice, and Caitlyn Willis; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and his former wife, Julie, nee Detmer, Hartsburg of Highland.

     

    Jim was a veteran of the United States Army, retired as a floor supervisor from Carlisle Syntec in Greenville, and was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 269.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, woodworking, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

     

    Memorial Mass will be Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church in St. Rose with Fr. Edward Schaefer presiding. Committal Service with full military honors will follow in St. Rose Cemetery.

     

    Visitation will be Friday, November 22, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese.

     

    Memorials may be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 269 or the Jared Burke Foundation and will be received at the funeral home.

     

    The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 269 will hold services at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
