    Jeanette M. Koerkenmeier, nee Ribbing, age 70 of Breese, born June 12, 1946 in St. Louis, MO, a daughter of the late Edward and Rose, nee Schleper, Ribbing, died Thursday, October 27, 2016 at her residence.

     

    In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Douglas Hundsdorfer; brothers, Dean Ribbing, Gene Ribbing, and Arnold Ribbing; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Ribbing and Marilyn Coers; and a brother-in-law, Oliver Coers.

     

    Surviving is her husband, Charley Koerkenmeier of Breese, whom she married September 12, 1964 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese; her children, Mary Hundsdorfer of Highland, Louie (friend LaDonna Johnston) Koerkenmeier of Beckemeyer, Jim Koerkenmeier of Aviston, and Karen (Joe) King of Sandoval; 4 grandchildren, Kristen Hundsdorfer, Brady Koerkenmeier, Katelyn and Amber King; and sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Helen Ribbing of Aurora, MO, Marian Coers of Washington, IN, and Robert Coers of O’Fallon.

     

    Jeanette was a homemaker, formerly operated Jeanette’s Catering in Breese, and enjoyed quilting. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and Altar Sodality and the Breese American Legion Post 252 Auxiliary.

     

    Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Chuck Tuttle presiding. Interment will take place at a later date in St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese.

     

    Visitation will be Friday, October 28, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.

     

    Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or to the Siteman Cancer Center and will be received at the funeral home.

     

    The Breese American Legion Auxiliary will hold services at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
