    Martha A. Henrichs, nee Wilhelm, age 90, of St. Rose, died Saturday, October 7, 2017 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville.

     

    Martha was born August 7, 1927 in Mascoutah, a daughter of the late Joseph O. and Anne, nee Voegele, Wilhelm.

     

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Roman Wilhelm, Meinard Wilhelm, Leo Wilhelm, Erwin Wilhelm, Ralph Wilhelm, Joseph J. Wilhelm, and Herb Wilhelm; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Theodore and Agnes, nee Schrage, Henrichs; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marcella Wilhelm, Delores Wilhelm, Alice Wilhelm, Delores Wilhelm, Eunice Wilhelm, Bruce Markwardt, Preston Blake, Cornelius and Amanda Henrichs, Mary Ann and Theodore Tebbe, Sr. Rosemary Henrichs, and Virgil and Ellie Henrichs.

     

    She is survived by her husband John Henrichs, whom she married July 13, 1954 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah; children, Angela (David) Foy of Aviston, Daniel (Janet) Henrichs of Wildwood, MO, David (Ann) Henrichs of Highland, Janet Bone of Belleville, Donald (Patricia) Henrichs of St. Rose, Edward (Karen) Henrichs of Swansea, and Susan (Bernie) Haselhorst of Swansea; grandchildren, Christy (fiancé Talon Charlin) Dick, Adam Henrichs, Ryan Henrichs, Sarah (Dan) Einhorn, Nic Fears, Mike (Lori) Henrichs, Shawn (Kim) Henrichs, Brianne Henrichs, Amy (Josh) Kloss, Angie (Eric) Rainey, Molly Becker, Phillip Bone, Patrick Henrichs, Beth Henrichs, Alex Henrichs, Travis (fiancée Tori Denbow) Henrichs, Connor Henrichs, Brenden Haselhorst, and Rachel Haselhorst; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Sr. Janet Marie Wilhelm, Marcel Wilhelm, Rose Markwardt, and Ann (Phil) Sherry; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ruth Wilhelm, Darlene Schaperkoetter, Darlene Wilhelm, Cletus (Marie) Henrichs and Carol (Herb) Hustedde; and numerous nieces and nephews.

     

    Martha was a homemaker and a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Ladies Sodality, and Choir, Daughters of Isabella Precious Blood Circle 718, Clinton County Homemakers Extension, and the St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary where she stitched quilt blocks and just finished one last month. She enjoyed quilting, playing cards, and spending time with her grandchildren.

     

    Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church with Fr. Edward Schaefer presiding.  Interment will follow in St. Rose Cemetery.

    Visitation will be Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 11:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
