    Mary Ann Kapp, nee Draper, age 90 of Aviston and formerly of Trenton, born May 13, 1925 in Caseyville, IL, a daughter of the late Austin and Jennie, nee Leathers, Draper, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Aviston Countryside Manor.

    Mrs. Kapp was a gift wrapper during WWII for soldiers overseas and a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Altar Sodality in Trenton and attended St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston. Mary Ann loved playing bingo and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

    Surviving are her daughters, Phyllis Kendall of Aviston and Rita Markus and husband Dave of Aviston; 4 grandchildren, Jeff Kendall, Jackie Foster and husband Ray, Chris Kendall and fiancé Kevin Phelps, and Jenny Kendall and friend Greg Koch; and a great-grandson, Alex Kendall.

    In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Kapp, whom she married December 23, 1944 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland, and he died April 7, 1994; a son-in-law, Willie Kendall; sisters, Opal Stull and Esther Curran; brothers, Paul Draper, Nuel Draper, Morris Draper, and Austin Draper, Jr.; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Russell Stull, Joe Curran, Dorothy Draper, Margaret Draper, Dolores “Tootsie” Draper, and Billie Jo Draper.

    Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Trenton with Fr. Joseph Rascher and Fr. Daniel Friedman officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Trenton.

    Visitation will be Friday, September 18, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 8:00-9:45 a.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.

    Memorials can be made to Wounded Warriors or to the donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home.
