    Roger F. Haukap 71 of Damiansville died Thursday September 1, 2016 at his residence.

     

    He was born June 12, 1945 in Germantown to Matthias and Dorothy nee Albers, Haukap; they preceded him in death.

     

    Also preceded in death by sisters Irlene Varel, Francie Huegen, brother-in-law Thomas “Toby” Haake.

     

    He married Sherry Trame and they later divorced.

     

    Surviving are his daughters Jessica Haukap of Albers, Renee Haukap of Breese.

     

    A sister Marilyn Haake of Germantown.

     

    Brothers-in-law Edwin “Eppy” Varel of Carlyle, Stanley Huegen of Albers.

     

    Roger retired from Scott Air Force Base maintenance at the golf course. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, golfing, pitching horseshoes and gardening.

     

    Member of St. Damian Catholic Church, Damiansville, Volunteer Firefighter with Clin-Clair Fire District, Missouri Deer Hunting Club, Quails Unlimited.

     

    Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be Monday September 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Damian Catholic Church, Damiansville. Fr. Anthony Onyango and Deacon Glenn Netemeyer presiding. Interment St. Damian Cemetery.

     

    Visitation will be held on Sunday September 4 from 4:00 to 8;00 p.m. and Monday September 5 from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Germantown.

     

    Memorials can be made to Clin-Clar Fire Department and will be received at the funeral home.
