    William O. “Bill” Kunz, age 76 of Trenton, born June 20, 1940 in Highland, a son of the late Oliver and Mildred, nee Wilkening, Kunz, died Saturday, December 3, 2016 in Saline County.

    In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leo and Marion, nee (Scharf), Pfeffer.

    Surviving is his wife Jeanette, nee Pfeffer, Kunz of Trenton, whom he married November 26, 1959 at St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton; children, Brian (Lynn) Kunz of Trenton, Dale (Janice) Kunz of Belleville, Michael (Jackie) Kunz of Trenton; grandchildren, Keith (Colleen) Kunz, Lauren (Dan) Holloway, Kevin (Sara) Kunz, Krista Kunz, Justin Kunz, Ashley (Andrew) Healy, and Nathan Kunz; great-grandchildren, Clayton and Jacob Holloway; his siblings, Ruth (friend Don Weinstein) Rockey-Johnson, of Rockford, Bob Kunz of Trenton, Kathy (Gary) Jascur of Highland, and Walter (Diane) Kunz of Trenton; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marie (Ollie) Bair of Trenton, Mary Ann (Joe) Brokering of New Baden, Larry (Carol) Pfeffer of New Baden, and Eileen (Joe) Martin of Shiloh; and nieces and nephews

    Bill was a retired grain farmer. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton, and was a former member of the Trenton Nut House Club, former president of the Trenton Co-op, and former Chairman of the Board of the Farm Credit Board. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, gardening, and his true passion was farming.

    Funeral Service will be Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John United Church in Trenton with Rev. Mark Stryjak officiating.

    Visitation will be Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton.

    Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ or to Western Clinton County Senior Services and will be received at the church or through Moss Funeral Home, 105 S. Main, Trenton, IL 62293 who is serving the family.
