Helen M. “Punky” Albers, 71 of Germantown died Sunday December 3, 2006 at her residence

 She was born September 2, 1935 in Leeds ND, to Cecil and Mary (Leopard) Matthews: they preceded her in death

She married Virgil H. Albers July 14, 1959 at St. Augustine Church in Breese and he preceded her in death March 19, 1996

 Also preceded in death by a brother Virgil Matthews, and a sister Phyllis Fak

 Surviving are sons Donald (Cynthia) Albers of Park Forest, Allen (Madonna) Albers of Germantown

 Daughters Patricia (William) Beach of Oakdale, LouAnn Albers-Beckmann of Germantown, LeaAnn Albers of Germantown

 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren

 Brothers Bob (Marge) Matthews of Annapolis Maryland, Roland (Clarice) Matthews of Brinsmade ND

 A sister Lovetta Pownell of Minot ND

 Helen was retired from the housekeeping Department of St. Joseph hospital in Breese

 Member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown

 Memorial mass will be held on Thursday Dec. 7, 2006 at 11:00 am at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown with Fr. Stephen Humphrey officiating. Interment St. Boniface Cemetery

 Family will great relatives and friends from 10 am to time of service at the St. Boniface Church, Germantown

 Memorials can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be received through Moss Funeral home in Germantown who is handling the arrangements
