Benjamin F. Bassler 91 of Trenton died Saturday June 9, 2007 at St. Joseph Hospital in Highland 

He was born July 27, 1915 in Trenton to Philip and Elizabeth (Vaninger) Bassler: they preceded him in death

 He married Mildred Miener September 14, 1939 in Highland, IL: she preceded him in death July 25, 2004 

Also preceded in death by a grandson Karl Hahn, brothers, Julius, Walter, James and Raymond Bassler, sisters Nelda Bayer, Amanda Walker, Viola Zimmermann, Cornelia Tweston  

 Surviving is a daughter June Bailey of Belleville

 A great grandson Benjamin Hahn

 Ben was a retired carpenter

 Honorary member of the Carpenters Local 433 in Belleville, and attended West Gate Baptist Church in Trenton

 Funeral service Monday June 11, 2007 at 11:00 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton with Rev. Bob Marsh officiating. Interment Trenton Cemetery

 Visitation will be held on Monday June 11, 2007 from 9 am  to time of Service at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.

 Memorials can be made to Humane Society in Highland
