John P. Cryder, 88, of Trenton, died Friday, June 20,
2003 at Aviston Countryside Manor
He was born June 5, 1915 in Aviston to Joe and Ada (Patton)
Cryder; they preceded him in death
Also preceded in death by brothers James "Bob" and Dave
Cryder, and a sister Hazel Cryder.
He married Dorothy Becker on May 19, 1942 in St. Louis; she
survives in Trenton.
Also Surviving is a son Terry (Jan) Cryder, and twin daughters
Cheryl (Mel) Barrett and Carol Feeley, all of Trenton
7 Grandchildren TJ and Chad Cryder, Steven (Jennifer) Barrett,
and Krista Barrett, Kerrie (Tim) Klein, Kellie (Phil) Kunz, and
Brent (Lisa) Brede
6 Great-Grandchildren Philip and Brady Kunz, Chelsea and Michael
Klein, Nate Brede, and Christopher Barrett
Sisters Lorriene Horenkamp of O’Fallon and Ada Smith of
Fairview Heights
John retired as a carpenter from Hunter Packing Company after 36
years
He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Trenton and
an Army Veteran of WW II
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, June 24, 2003 at 1 PM at the
First United Methodist Church in Trenton will Rev. Debbie Melzer
officiating. Interment in Trenton Cemetery
Visitation will be Monday, June 23, 2003 from 5 to 8 PM and again
on Tuesday, June 24, 2003 from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM at the Moss
Funeral Home in Trenton.
Memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church and
will be received at the funeral home
