Martha N. Hoerchler, nee Trowbridge, 74, of Breese, died Monday, August 1, 2005 at her residence

 She was born July 19, 1931 in Concord, IL to Stanley and Ava (Crane) Trowbridge; they preceded her in death 

Also preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Trowbridge, and sisters, Joyce Essenpreis and Alice McCune 

She married Donald Hoerchler on August 9, 1977 in Belleville and he survives in Breese

 Also surviving is a son, Stanley Bruce Powell of Hebron, IN and a daughter, Kerry (Gary) Kleber of Carlyle 

Also surviving is a step-daughter, Angela (Djmel) Guellil of Fairview Heights, and a step-son, Craig Hoerchler of Carlyle

 Also surviving is grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren

 Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Esther (Tony) Luebbers of Carlyle, and a brother-in-law, Sylvester “Smokey” Essenpreis of Breese

 Martha was the former owner of Martha’s Tavern in Breese

 She was a member of St. Dominic Church in Breese and Breese American Legion Post 252 Auxiliary

 Funeral service will be Thursday, August 4, 2005 at 10 AM at Moss Funeral Home in Breese with Fr. Patrick Peter officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese 

Visitation will be Thursday, August 4, 2005 from 9:30 AM to 10 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese. 

Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home 

Breese American Legion Auxiliary will hold services at 9:30 AM Thursday Morning
