Bobby R. Neighbors, 79, of Trenton died, Saturday, May 03, 2008 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese. 

He was born October 3, 1928 in Harrisburg, IL to Med and Pearl (Edwards) Neighbors:  they preceded him in death.   He is also preceded in death by brothers Gary and Edward Neighbors. 

He married Gloria Stone, May 20, 1951 in Tilden, IL; she survives in Trenton. 

Also surviving are sons Dr. David (Jan) Neighbors of Trenton, IL, James (Terri) Neighbors of Burke,VA. 

4 grandchildren Matthew, Kelly, Beth, and LeeAnne Neighbors 

A brother Earl (Alicia) Neighbors of St. Louis, MO 

A sister Joyce (Dwight) Saffel of Plano, TX 

Bobby retired from 20 years of ministry with Grace Community Baptist Church of Trenton, IL.  Bobby also served from 1987-1990 as a part time pastor for Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Cooksmills, IL.

He was an avid woodworker for 14 years.  He was a teacher in Industrial Arts for the school districts of Granite City, Cahokia, and Wesclin High Schools.  He is a Veteran in the U.S. Navy. 

Member of Highland Community Church in Highland, IL.  Volunteer for the St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary in Breese, IL. 

Visitation will be held Monday, May 5, 2008 from 4 to 9 PM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton. and Tuesday, May 6 from 9 to 10 AM at Highland Community Church of Highland. 

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Highland Community Church in Highland, IL at 10:00AM. Dr. Larry Wise officiating.  Interment at Trenton Cemetery. 

Memorials can be made to Highland Community Church, Grace Community Baptist Church, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes and will be received at the funeral home.
