Also preceded in death by a son Ralph Ortmann, Brothers, Leo Ortmann and Frank Ortmann Jr. sisters, Irene Frerker, Eugenia Dierkes, Caroline Hemker, brothers in law Herman Frerker, Clarence Dierkes, Ben Hemker and Arnold Ratermann, sisters in law, Helen Ortmann, Dolores Ortmann and Mary Ortmann

He married Marcella Peek September 3, 1947 at St. Francis Church in Aviston and she survives in Germantown

Also surviving is a son David (Sharon) Ortmann of Germantown

Daughters Mary (Delmar) Santel of Damiansville, Eileen (John) Ratermann of Breese

5 grandchildren Kyle and Karrie Santel, Stephanie and Vicki Ratermann, Patrick Reagan

A twin brother Walter Ortmann of O’Fallon

A sister Virginia Ratermann of Breese

Vince was a retired farmer

Member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and Men’s Sodality in Germantown, Clinton County farm Bureau

Funeral Mass Tuesday June 22, 2004 at 10 AM at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown with Fr. Stephen Humphrey officiating. Interment St. Boniface Cemetery

Visitation will be held on Monday June 21 from 4 to 9 PM and Tuesday June 22 from 8 to 9:45 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown

Memorials can be made to St. Boniface Church or Cemetery and will be received at the funeral home
