Clarence Restoff, 76, of Bartelso died Sunday,
September 7, 2003 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese
He was born July 7, 1927 in Scheller to Frank and Victoria (Majewski)
Restoff; they preceded him in death
Also preceded in death by a sister-in-law Loretta Restoff
He married Dorothy Bergmann on October 26, 1954 at St. Cecilia
Catholic Church in Bartelso; she survives in Bartelso
Also surviving are sons Gary (Susie) Restoff of Breese and Thomas
Restoff of St. Louis, MO
2 Grandchildren Scott and Brooke Restoff
Brothers Stanley Restoff of New Minden and Ernie (Ardelle)
Restoff of Fairview Heights
Clarence owned and operated Restoff’s Market in Bartelso from
1956-1992
He was member of St. Cecilia Church where he served as a
Eucharistic Minister, Bartelso Knights of Columbus Council 4745,
Bishop Althoff 4th Degree Assembly where he served as the
past Faithful Comptroller, Catholic War Veteran Marion Post
1780-Bartelso, Bartelso American Legion Post 976, Santa Fe Township
Trustee since 1961 and Election Judge, Young at Heart Club-Bartelso,
Mater Dei School Board, Mater Dei Father and Friends, and he was an
Army Veteran of WW II
Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at 2 PM at St.
Cecilia Church in Bartelso with Fr. Henry Fischer officiating.
Interment will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Bartelso
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 9, 2003 from 4 to 9 PM and
again on Wednesday, September 10, 2003 from 11 AM to 1:30 PM at the
Moss Funeral Home in Germantown
Memorials can be made to Mater Dei High School and will be
received at the funeral home
