Joseph L. Santel, 22, of Aviston IL died Wednesday,
March 5, 2003 at St. Louis University Hospital St. Louis following a
car accident on Thursday February 27, 2003.
He was born in Belleville, November 14, 1980 to Thomas and Mary
(Rule) Santel. And they survive in rural Aviston.
He was a member of St. Francis Church Aviston and a 1998 graduate
of Central high School. He was an avid pool shooter.
Besides his parents he is survived by a sister Becky (Michael)
Wesselmann of Aviston, a niece Olivia Wesselmann, maternal
grandmother Helen Rule of Breese and paternal grandmother Rose
Santel of New Baden. Also surviving are Aunts; Brenda (Alex
"Butch") Marshall of New Baden, Janet (Terry) Finney of
Centralia and an Uncle, Randy (Angie) Rule of Aviston.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers Leonard Rule and Leroy
Santel.
Funeral Services will be held Monday March 10, 2003 at 10 am at
the Moss Funeral Home in Breese with Rev Gretchen Sterrett
officiating. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery Aviston
Friends may call Sunday March 9 from 4 to 9 Pm and Monday 8 to 10
am at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
Memorial can be made to an Education fund for his niece Olivia
and will be received at the funeral home.
