Henry B. Schroeder 72 of Germantown died Friday Dec. 24, 2004 at St. Joseph hospital in Breese

He was born January 3, 1932 in Bartelso to Henry and Caroline (Eilers) Schroeder: they preceded him in death

Also preceded in death by sisters Frances Wieking, Laurentine Koczur, Adeline Schroeder, brother-in-laws Henry Heet, Arthur Schomaker

He married Joan Schlautmann May 28, 1955 at St. Boniface Church and she survives in Germantown

Also surviving are sons Lester (Mary) Schroeder of St. Louis, Marvin Schroeder of Germantown, Ralph (Sharon) Schroeder of West Chester, Dennis Schroeder of Breese

Daughters Linda (Jim) Becker of Bartelso, Kathy Voss of Breese, Tina Mickelson of Breese

12 grandchildren Jennifer (Chad) Kahrhoff, Nicole and Phillip Schroeder, Jill (Jeff) Daugherty, Clinton and  Bethany Becker, Latisha, Rachel, Jason, Ryan, Kyle and Daniel Voss

2 great grandchildren Cole Kahrhoff and Collin Daugherty

Brothers Frank (Agnes) Schroeder of Bartelso, Alvin (Wilhelmina) Schroeder of Bartelso, Edward (Dorothy) Schroeder of Germantown, Cletus (Dolores “Peppy”) Schroeder of Germantown

Sisters Alvina Heet of Plymouth IN, Cornelius “Babe” Schomaker of Carlyle,

Brother-in-law Henry Koczur of IN

Henry retired from Kohnen Concrete in Germantown and Hunter Meat Packing in East St. Louis. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War

Henry enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports and an avid fan of all local sporting events

Funeral mass Tuesday Dec. 28, 2004 at 10 am at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown with Fr. Stephen Humphrey officiating Interment St. Boniface Cemetery

Visitation will be held on Monday Dec. 27 from 4 to 9 Pm and on Tuesday Dec. 28 from 8 to 9:45 am at the Moss Funeral home in Germantown

Memorials can be made to National Parkinson’s Association or Caring First Nursing home in Breese
