Leo P. Spihlmann 86 of Germantown died Monday March
24, 2003 at his residence in Germantown
He was born in Aviston, IL to Bernard and Mary Philomena (Neff)
Spihlmann and they preceded her in death
He married Lucille Foppe August 27, 1946 at St. Boniface Church
in Germantown and she preceded him in death March 6, 2002
Also preceded in death by sons Lavern and Gary Spihlmann and a
daughter Donna Spihlmann, brothers Raymond, Richard, and Clarence
Spihlmann
Surviving is a son Ronald Spihlmann of Summerfield
A daughter Janice (Mike) Luitjohan of Germantown
5 grandchildren Lou Gene (Nick) Trame of Lebanon, Ronda Spihlmann
of Summerfield, Kevin Luitjohan, Dale Luitjohan, and Amy Luitjohan
all of Germantown
A great grandson Bailey Trame

Leo was a retired farmer and Army veteran of WWII

Sodality in Germantown, Albers American Legion Post 1026, Germantown
Senior Citizens and Clinton County Farm Bureau
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday March 28 at 11:00 am at St.
Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown with Fr. Stephen Humphrey
officiating. Interment in St. Boniface Cemetery
Visitation will be held on Thursday March 27 from 4 to 9 PM and
on Friday March 28 from 8 to 10:45 am at the Moss Funeral Home in
Germantown
Memorials can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be
received at the funeral home
Albers American Legion will hold services on Thursday evening at
the funeral home
