rene M. Tebbe 80 of Breese died Wednesday September 17, 2003, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO

She was born December 28, 1922 in Germantown, IL to John and Mary Ann (Schlautmann) Sprehe: they preceded her in death

She married Emil Tebbe April 16, 1941 at St. Boniface Church in Germantown and he preceded her in death May 5, 1957

Also preceded in death by a son Ronald Tebbe, daughters Theresa Schrage and Paulette Tebbe, grandsons James Schrage and Terry Holtgrave and son-in-law Lavern "Shorty" Diekmann

Surviving are daughters Rita Diekmann of Breese, Kathleen (Donald) Beer of Breese, Marilyn (Ralph) Brueggemann of St. Rose, Julia Tebbe of Breese, Arlene (Ronald) Holtgrave of St. Rose, Martha (Dan) Ribbing of Aviston

18 Grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren

Brother Joseph (Loretta) Sprehe of Germantown

Sisters Josephine Singler of New Baden, Alice Woltering of Aviston

Irene was retired from the dietary department of St. Joseph hospital in Breese and a retired cook from Wil-Char Restaurant in Breese

Member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese, Breese American Legion Post 252 Auxiliary and a Gold Star Mother

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday September 19, 2003 at 11:00 am at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Chuck Tuttle officiating. Interment St. Dominic-St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese

Visitation will be held on Thursday September 18 from 4 to 9 PM and on Friday September 19 from 8 to 10:45 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese

Memorials can be made to the National Arthritis foundation and will be received at the funeral home

Breese American Legion Auxiliary will hold services Thursday at 7:00 PM at the funeral home
