Joseph B. Timmermann, 83, of
Breese, Illinois, died Thursday, June 29, 2006, at St. Elizabeth’s
Hospital, Belleville, Illinois.
He was born November 23, 1922 at
Breese, Illinois, the son of Gerhard and Josephine (Lager)
Timmermann: they preceded him in death.
He married Anne Grimmer On April
7, 1951 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Highland, Illinois. She
survives in Breese.
He is survived by four sons,
David (Joann) Timmermann of Breese, Gerard (Darlene) Timmermann of
Aviston, Andrew (Sandy) Timmermann of Aviston and Russell (Sharon)
Timmermann of Breese;
A daughter Anne (Jim) Nabors of
Bellevue, Nebraska.
Eight grandchildren, Matthew and
Michael Timmermann, Emily, Zachary and Noah Timmermann Arianne
(James) Schneider, Christopher and Elizabeth Nabors.
Brother Anthony (Marcella)
Timmermann of Breese,
Sisters Mary (Joe) Mioux of
Carlyle, Martha Timmermann and Josephine Timmermann of Breese.
Uncle to many nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; two sons, Peter Timmermann and Joseph Timmermann Jr., and a
brother, August Timmermann.
Joseph was a life long dairy
farmer retiring 16 years ago
Joe was a member of St.
Augustine Catholic Church and Men’s Holy Name Sodality, Clinton
County Farm Bureau, Breese American Legion Post 252, Breese Knights
of Columbus 2869
Visitation will be held Sunday,
July 2, 2006 from 4:00 to 9:00 pm, and Monday, July 3, 2006 from
8:00 to 9:45 am, at Moss Funeral Home, Breese, Illinois.
Mass of Christian Burial will be
held at 10:00 am, Monday, July 3, 2006, at St. Augustine Catholic
Church, Breese, Illinois. Bishop Stanley Schlarmann officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Highland,
Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, the family
requests memorial masses or memorials may be made to Mater Dei, All
Saints Academy, St. Augustine Catholic Church or donor’s choice and
will be received at the funeral home.
Breese
American Legion will hold services at 7:00 Pm and Breese Knights of
Columbus at 7:30 PM on Sunday at the funeral home |
