Glenola V. Turner, nee Scherer, 95,
of Trenton, died Thursday, September 7, 2006 at Aviston Countryside
Manor.
She was born June 14, 1911 in
Chicago,
IL to Edward and Viola (Scannell)
Scherer; they preceded her in death.
She married Melvin Turner on March
27, 1927 in Carlyle; he preceded her in death on May 17, 1991.
Also preceded in death by a sister,
Edna Glotz; a brother, Orville Scherer; a son-in-law, Earl Welch.
Surviving is a daughter, Billye
Jean Welch of Collinsville and a son, Melvin (Joann) Turner of
Trenton.

Turner, Mike (Carolyn) Turner, Julie (Jack) Walker, and Jamie
(Robert) Sloger
7 Great-Grandchildren-Ryan and

and Darlene Harrell of Okawville.
Glenola was a homemaker
She was a member of First
United Methodist Church in
Trenton and was the past Treasurer of the United Methodist Women
Society.
Funeral Services will be Monday,
September 11, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton
with Rev. Thomas Rankin officiating. Interment will be in Posey
Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday,
September 11, 2006 from 9:00-11:00 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in
Trenton.
Memorials can be made to the
Alzheimer’s Association, American Heart Association, or to the
Diabetes Foundation and will be received at the funeral home. |
