Frieda L. Von Alst, 91, of Breese died Wednesday,
January 29, 2003 at Caring First Nursing Home in Breese
She was born August 13, 1911 in Breese to John and Ida (Brinkmann)
Lappe; they preceded her in death
She married Orville Von Alst on September 8, 1935 in Kincaid, IL;
he preceded her in death March 5, 1963
Also preceded in death by a son Robert Von Alst
Brothers Louis, George, and Arthur Lappe
Sisters Adel Mueller, Eleanor Headlee, Bertha Delano, and Almeda
Strotheide
Surviving are 6 Grandsons David, Jeff, Craig, Robert, Brad, and
James Von Alst all of Nevada
Sister Olivia Pax of Beckemeyer and Talitha Lymann of Decatur, IL
Frieda along with her husband was the former owner and Operator
of V&H Bowling Alley in Breese and Dairy King in Breese and
Carlyle
She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in
Breese
Memorial Service will be Saturday, February 1, 2003 at 11 AM at
the Moss Funeral Home in Breese with Rev. Linda Coulson officiating.
Interment in St. Dominic~St. Augustine Cemetery
Visitation will be Saturday, February 1, 2003 from 10 AM to the
time of service at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese
Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice and will be
received at the funeral home
