Rosalia C. “Sally” Barth, nee
Wolters, died Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Aviston Countryside
Manor.
Mrs. Barth was born December 18,
1924 in Aviston to Bernard and Anna (Rakers) Wolters; they preceded
her in death.
She married August A. “Bud” Barth,
Sr. on October 22, 1947 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston;
he preceded her in death on July 26, 1997.
Also preceded in death by brothers,
Edward, Raymond, Bernard, Wilbert, and Victor Wolters; sisters, Edna
Rosen, Sylvia Becker, and Mary Ann Becker; brothers-in-law, Otto
Rosen, Edward Beckmann, Noe Rohling, Lawrence Thole, Matthew Barth,
and Hugo Tebbe; and sisters-in-law, Trudy Wolters, Rose Ann Wolters,
and Mary Ann Tebbe.
Surviving are her children, Mary Ann
(David) Dermody of Waterloo, Bernard (Linda) Barth of Germantown,
and August (Joyce) Barth, Jr. of St. Rose; 8 Grandchildren, Lauren
(Tom) Reeves, Jessica (Craig) Higgs, Brian (fiancée Amanda VanNoy)
Barth, Sarah Barth, Amanda Barth, Brad Barth, Megan Barth, and Kayla
Barth; 2 Great-Grandsons, Matthew Reeves and David “LJ” Higgs; a
brother, Otto (Dot) Wolters of Aviston; a sister, Henrietta Beckmann
of Aviston; brothers-in-law, Ray Becker of Bartelso, and Albert
“Tossie” Becker of Germantown; and sisters-in-law, Jeanne Wolters of
Albers, Helen Wolters of Breese, Betty Rohling of Trenton, and Mary
Thole of Highland.
Sally was a homemaker and a member
of St. Rose Church and Altar Sodality.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial
will be Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 2:00 PM at St. Rose Catholic
Church in St. Rose with Fr. Edward Schaefer and Fr. James Buerster
officiating. Interment will follow in St. Rose Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April
14, 2009 from 5:00-9:00 PM and again on Wednesday, April 15, 2009
from 11:00 AM-1:30 PM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
Memorials can be made to the
Alzheimer’s Association or to the Donor’s Choice and will be
received at the funeral home. |
