Delmar P. Bassler, 97, of Trenton, died Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at Countryside Manor in Aviston 

He was born May 2, 1908 in New Baden to Louis and Mary (Kraemer) Bassler; they preceded him in death 

He married Kathlyn Hayes on August 29, 1934 in Mattoon; she preceded him in death on May 21, 2001 

Also preceded in death by a daughter, Penelope Bassler, and sons, Phillip, Timothy, and David Bassler 

Surviving is a son Patrick (Patty) Bassler of Trenton, and a daughter-in-law Jenny Bassler of Highland 

4 Grandchildren-Dawn (fiancé Dean Beaucage) Bassler, Lisa (Michael) Cox, Connie (David) Lihs, and Ryan Bassler 

4 Great-Grandchildren-Addison and Bekah Brennan, Shelley and Hannah Cox 

A sister-Helen Bassler of Trenton 

Delmar retired as a carpenter 

He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton, Masonic Lodge-Trenton, and the Carpenters Local in Freeburg 

Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 24, 2005 at 10 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton with

Rev. Tom Perl officiating. Interment will follow in Trenton Cemetery 

Visitation will be Friday, December 23, 2005 from 5 to 8 PM and again on Saturday, December 24, 2005 from 9 AM to the time of services.   

Memorials can be made to St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton and will be received at the funeral home
