Robert F. “Bob” Bassler, 72, of St. Louis, MO, died Friday, March 21, 2008 at Sunset Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center, St. Louis, MO. 

He was born July 18, 1935 in Belleville to William and Cornelia (Worstzeck) Bassler; they preceded him in death. 

He is survived by cousins, Ben (Eleanor) Harpstrite of New Baden, Howard Harpstrite of Trenton, Doris Liening of Highland, and Melba Bassler of Fairview Heights. 

Bob retired as a Supply Clerk for the United States Army. 

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton with Rev. Linzy Collins officiating.  Interment will follow in Trenton Cemetery. 

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 26, 2008 from 9:00-11:00 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.
