Mary Jo Baumgartner, nee Drees, 49, of Troy, died Thursday, December 1, 2005 in Jarvis Twp near Troy, IL

She was born June 9, 1956 in Highland, IL to Florence (Spihlman) Drees and the late Andrew “Red” Drees; her mother survives in Breese

Also preceded in death by her father-in-law Otto Baumgartner and a brother-in-law Marvin Netemeyer

She married Paul Baumgartner on June 7, 1980 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton; he survives in Troy

Also surviving are daughters Angela Baumgartner of Edwardsville and Rachel Baumgartner of Maryville

A son Matthew Baumgartner of Troy

Brothers Mike (Marilyn) Drees of Aviston, Jerome (Susan) Drees of Trenton, Robert (Inez) Drees of Collinsville, and Daniel (Okie) Drees of Clarksville, TN

Sisters Karen (John) Niemann of Breese, Linda Netemeyer of Albers, Patricia (Edward) Niemann of Breese, Jane (Mike) Heil of Trenton, and Donna (James) Markus of Aviston

Mother-in-law Gertrude (nee Feldt) Baumgartner of Troy

20 Nieces and Nephews and 6 Great Nieces and Nephews

Mary Jo was the Secretary and Book Keeper at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy

She was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church and St. Ann Altar Sodality in Troy, the Triad Athletic Boosters Club, and the Trenton VFW Post 7983 Auxiliary

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, December 5, 2005 at 10 AM at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy with Msgr. Virgil Mank officiating.  Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Blackjack

Visitation will be Sunday, December 4, 2005 from 4 to 8 PM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton and again on Monday, December 5, 2005 from 9 to 10 AM at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy

Memorials can be made to her children’s education fund or to St. Jerome Catholic Church and will be received at the funeral home or at the church – The Trenton VFW Auxiliary will hold services at 7 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home
