Leona C. Dierkes, 94, of Germantown died Monday January 8, 2007 at St. Joseph hospital in Breese 

She was born September 2, 1912 in Breese to Philip and Anna (Robben) Maue; they preceded her in death 

She married George Dierkes May 28, 1935 at St. Boniface Church in Germantown and he preceded her in death January 15, 1971 

Also preceded in death by a son Donald “Pete” Dierkes, a granddaughter Mary Margaret Dierkes, Brothers Arthur Maue, Edward “Eppie” Maue, Alvin Maue, a brother-in-law Dick Brand 

Surviving is a son LeRoy “Perk” (Phyllis) Dierkes of Plainfield, IN 

Daughters Carolyn (John) Santel of New Baden, Janet (Stanley) Bach of Carlyle, Pat (Steve) Reed of Pacific, MO, Shirley (Skip) Etter of Carlyle, Diane “Mert” (Chuck) Albers of Germantown, JoAnn (Rich) Sellers of Florissant, MO, Kathy (Joe) Rakers of Posey 

A daughter-in-law Maritta (Gene) Hilmes of Germantown 

17 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren 9 step great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren 

Brother Clarence “Bud” (Marie) Maue of Breese 

Sisters Helen Brand of Eureka, MO, Dorothy (Lee) Johnson of Breese 

Sisters in law Clara Maue of Carlyle, and Leona Maue of St. Louis, MO  

Many nieces, nephews and friends 

Leona was a homemaker. Member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and Altar Sodality in Germantown, past member of Germantown senior Citizens 

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday January 10, 2007 at 11:00 am at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Fr. Stephen Humphrey officiating. Interment St. Boniface Cemetery, Germantown 

Visitation will be on Tuesday January 9 from 4:00 to 9:00 Pm and on Wednesday January 10 from 8:00 to 10:45 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown 

Memorials can be made to St. Boniface Cemetery; American Cancer Society or the Donor’s Choice and will be received through the funeral home
