CMSgt. John J. Eldridge USAF Ret. 63 of Breese died Sunday May 4, 2008 at his residence 

He was born March 23, 1945 in Elkin NC, to Lillian Caudill: She preceded him in death

 John is the step son of Brice and (Rebecca) Gauldin and they survive in Dunn NC 

Also preceded in death by a brother Tommy Gauldin, and his maternal grandparents who helped raise him. 

He married Glenna (nee Norris) Eldridge September 21, 1974 in Clearfield, Utah; she survives in Breese 

Also surviving are his children Jill (Jeff) Pingsterhaus of Germantown, Robert (Krystal) Eldridge of Anchorage Alaska, Michael (Wendi) Eldridge of Anchorage Alaska, and Glenna Eldridge of Breese 

4 grandchildren Vanessa and Matt Pingsterhaus, Meagan Insalaco and Ashlyn Eldridge 

A brother Mike Gauldin of Florida 

A sister Shirley Monday of Sacramento, CA 

John retired from Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage Alaska. He served in Vietnam War, a Pararescueman  He received 2 silver stars, 7 distinguished crosses and 22 air metals 

Member of Breese American Legion Post 252, VFW in Alaska 

Memorial Service will be held on Friday May 9, 2008 at 4:00 PM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese 

Family will greet family and friends from 3:00 to 4:00 Pm on Friday May 9, 2008 at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese 

Memorials can be made to Heartland Hospice and will be received at the funeral home
