Franklin J. “Frank” Eversgerd, 71, of New Baden, died Monday, April 16, 2007 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese.  

Mr. Eversgerd was born January 4, 1936 in Albers, IL to Frank and Veronica (Netemeyer) Eversgerd; they preceded him in death. 

Also preceded in death by brothers, LeRoy “Roy” Eversgerd and Leon “Blackie” Eversgerd, a brother-in-law, Ronald Haas, and father-in-law, Herman Albers. 

He married Marian Albers on June 4, 1958 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown; she survives in New Baden. 

Also surviving are his daughters, Peggy (William) Farnsworth of Coulterville, Anita (Nick) Schomaker of Germantown, and Kris (Kent) Cayson of New Baden. 

2 grandchildren, Erica and Ryan Schomaker and a step-granddaughter, Miranda Cayson. 

A brother, Wilbert “Pete” (JoAnn) Eversgerd of Breese and a sister Carol Haas of Albers. 

His mother-in-law, Catherine Albers of New Baden 

A sister-in-law, Alice Eversgerd of Germantown 

Frank retired from the Local 520 in Mitchell, IL as an Operating Engineer and was a lifelong farmer. 

He was a member of St. Damian Catholic Church in Damiansville, Clinton County Farm Bureau, the Massey-Harris Antique Tractor Club, and was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. 

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, April 20, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Damian Catholic Church in Damiansville with Msgr. Donald Eichenseer and Fr. Dan Friedman officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery, Germantown. 

Visitation will be Thursday, April 19, 2007 from 4:00-9:00 p.m. and again on Friday, April 20, 2007 from 8:00-9:30 a.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown. 

Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association or Clinton County Relay for Life and will be received at the funeral home.
