Gerald W. “Jerry” Fischer, 67, of Breese died Sunday February 15, 2009 at his residence 

He was born October 29, 1941 in Breese, IL to Henry and Elvira (Kreke) Fischer: they preceded him in death 

Also preceded in death by a daughter Mary Lynne Fischer, twin grandsons Conner William and Nathan Paul Fischer. Father and mother-in-law Arnold and Virginia (Gehrs) Schulte, brothers-in-law Michael Schulte, Oran Henkel, Fred Ritchie, sister-in-law Kathleen Schulte   

He married Carol Schulte October 7, 1961 at St. Anthony Church in Beckemeyer and she survives in Breese 

Also surviving are his children Monica (David) Kruep of Breese, Kenneth (Dawn) Fischer of Bartelso, Karen (Robert) Watts Jr. of Breese and Alan (Tonica) Fischer of Carlyle 

10 grandchildren Danielle (fiancé Travis Murray) Kruep, Kelsey Kruep, Logan, Leann Fischer, Meagen (friend Devin Scheitlin) Watts, Andrew and Jessica Watts, Clarissa, Brandon and Dylan Fischer 

A great granddaughter Payton Scheitlin 

Brothers Dennis (Mitzie) Fischer, Bill (Beth) Fischer, Ron (Gwen) Fischer all of Breese 

A sister Maribeth (Calvin) Rogers of Breese 

Brothers-in-law Hubert (Betty) Schulte, Richard (Pat) Schulte all of Beckemeyer, and Phillip Schulte of Centralia 

Sisters-in-law Eileen Henkel, Mary Ritchie both of Beckemeyer, and Phyllis Ritchie of Orlando FL 

Jerry was a retired supervisor from Bassler Electric in Highland. Jerry was an avid gardener and enjoyed deer hunting and fishing 

Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday February 17, 2009 at 11:00 am at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Ben Stern officiating. Interment St. Dominic-St. Augustine Cemetery 

Visitation will be held on Monday February 16 from 4 to 9 PM and again Tuesday February 17 from 8 to 10:45 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese. 

Memorials can be made to American Diabetes Association, Kidney Foundation or Heartland Hospice and will be received at the funeral home
